Smooth, rich, flavorful! The beans are so rich and dark they almost disappear in the predawn moonlight except. I can wake up just smelling them grinding each morning. I tried a wide variety of coffes in my life but this is hands down my favorite! If I can’t get it, the other Altura blends are almost as good.

This coffee is the household staple. Love the all around flavor and darkness. Great with or without sugar and easy on the palette. Auto ship is the best!

I don’t know if I got a bad bag, but the beans that I received smelled extremely funky. Almost fishy. The coffee that they made was decent, certainly better than I would have expected given the smell of the un-ground beans. Nevertheless, I threw most of the package away, as I couldn’t stand the smell of the beans, even when only semi-conscious in the morning (before drinking coffee, of course).

I’ve been a long-time loyalist to Cafe Altura’s Dark French Roast, but wanted to try something new. The San Francisco Blend is just as bold as the dark French, but has a brighter smell that reminds me of San Francisco in the Spring. Highly recommended.

Cafe Altura’s San Francisco Blend is a delicious, dark blend. My boyfriend remarked just this morning that the aroma filling the air after I ground the beans was “just like GOOD coffee is supposed to smell.” I like this variety second only to Cafe Altura’s Biodynamic French Roast. They are both great… the french roast just has a bit more of a “pure” quality to it. Both are a great deal when purchased through Amazon’s Subscribe and Save program!
